Calling all youth gardeners: Apply to the 2022 GreenThumb Youth Leadership Council

This is an opportunity for youth ages 14-21 to volunteer at a community garden during the spring and summer.

GreenThumb Youth Leadership Council participants will learn firsthand from community gardeners how to maintain and grow a healthy garden. Youth will also work on a project in the garden that will involve gaining skills such as carpentry, composting, environmental stewardship, community organizing, and event management.

To sign up, simply email your contact information and preferred garden location to Lila.Elman@parks.nyc.gov or complete this form: https://forms.office.com/g/r7n1f3WW8M

The google map of the gardens that are hosting a GreenThumb YLC this year is here: bit.ly/YLCgardens

The lead gardener for your chosen location will then be in touch to set up a garden orientation and volunteer schedule. We look forward to working on fun projects and planning community garden events together!
