Workshop for Volunteers: Soil Health Basics with NYC Parks GreenThumb
Wednesday, July 27, 2022
12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m.
Partnerships for Parks (PfP) and sister program NYC Parks GreenThumb bring you a webinar around soil vitality and its impact on plants. Plant health is directly linked to the health of the soil it is growing in. If we take care of the soil, the soil will take care of our plants and crops.
Join us to learn:
- The basics of soil science and soil health.
- Different ways to assess, prepare, and amend the soil in order to improve its vitality.
Featured speakers include:
- Mara Gittleman, Workshops and Education Coordinator at NYC Parks GreenThumb.
Traducción en Español disponible. Registration for this session is required and will close the day before the event. You will receive information on how to join the webinar once you register.
At Partnerships for Parks, we help people, organizations, and government work together to support NYC parks, gardens, trees, and other green spaces. Our free workshops are a great way to network and learn the skills needed to start, build, or sustain your park group.
