Wednesday, April 21, 2021

12:00 p.m.1:00 p.m.

Bees are vital to the pollination of plants and environmental growth. Join Urban Park Rangers as we demonstrate low-cost and sustainable ways to attract and house some of New York City’s most compatible, beneficial, and hardworking pollinators.

Optional supplies to have on hand to build your first low-cost bee house may include: washed-out Gatorade/soda/water bottle, natural reeds (Phragmites preferred) cardboard from paper towel or toilet paper rolls, brown shopping bag, scissors, tape, soil.

Facilitated by Ashley Whited, NYC Urban Park Ranger

Please RSVP to receive the link to join the webinar. This webinar is part of Earth Week at GreenThumb, where we'll be learning about and uplifting the ecological benefits of native plants in community gardens.
