Join gardeners and the community for the Annual Life and Death Celebration on Oct. 26th at the Hattie Carthan Saturday Market to share in remembering and honoring your ancestral heritage through food and other festivities on October 26th from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.!
Food Justice is all about the Rs: Remembering - Reconnecting - Reconciling - Relinquishing - Reclaiming - Regenerating - Revitalizing
Our collective ancestral systems calls us to the marketplaces to celebrate our life and Death as the wheel turns. If we must take our cues from our plant relations, who bare their bodies during the Fall seemingly dead on the surface, but very well alive in their roots. Costumes encouraged! Bring a blanket or shawl and huddle around the Sacred fire with SMORES. Hear ye! Hear Ye!
